A single number — say, 28 Hz — tells a cell almost nothing on its own. It’s like trying to describe a piece of music by naming one note. The instruction a cell can actually act on lives in the whole mechanical signal: the pattern, not the value.
That reframing is the foundation of how we design every program at Skelesound. A valid biological command is defined across five variables delivered together — carrier frequency, envelope, intensity, duty cycle, and rotational shear — and it’s the relationship between them, over time, that a cell’s mechanosensors interpret.
Mechanosensitive machinery doesn’t respond to raw magnitude alone; it adapts. Present a constant stimulus and the response fades within minutes — the biological equivalent of stopping noticing a smell. What holds attention is a signal with structure that doesn’t become predictable.

This is why our fractal approach matters: prime-frequency mixing and a golden-angle offset produce a field that never quite repeats, so tissue stays sensitized rather than habituating. The design goal isn’t more force — it’s a more legible one.
Because the signal is software-defined, each program is a specific pattern rather than a single setting. That’s what makes the platform a library, and why the same hardware can pursue very different goals as the evidence develops.

The platform is designed with hardware-enforced limits — including a 41 °C thermal auto-shutdown, amplitude capped below the cavitation threshold, and medical-grade electrical isolation — engineered toward IEC 60601-1. Hardware limits are designed so they cannot be overridden in software.
